Hi, I'm Julia Cortez. Nice to meet you!
I am a certified language teacher originally from Brazil, but currently based in Germany. I’m 28, a polyglot (Portuguese, English, Spanish, German), and I’ve wanted to become a teacher for as long as I can remember.
I started out as a translator in 2017, working with university professors on academic texts. That same year, I began teaching English and found my true calling.
Since then, I’ve taught hundreds of students from around the world while living in different cities and countries myself, combining real-life experience with ongoing training to deliver classes that are practical, engaging, and effective.
I believe that learning a language opens doors — to new places, new people, and new possibilities. My mission is to help you gain the confidence and skills you need to speak English or Portuguese with ease and purpose.

You’ll complete a short and simple placement test. This helps me determine your current level — no pressure, just a starting point so I can build the right path for you.
Step 3: Personalized Plan
Based on your goals and assessment, I’ll recommend the most effective class format for you — whether private lessons or a small group — and explain how our sessions will be structured.
Step 4: Your First Class
We’ll begin with a welcoming, practical session focused on real communication. You'll leave feeling encouraged, clear about the process, and excited to keep going.
Step 5: Structured Progress
After each lesson, you’ll receive detailed notes, feedback, and suggested practice — all stored in your personalized learning space. You’ll always know what you’re working on, where you're improving, and what’s coming next.
